About the Role
Rice Farming:
Soil preparation, planting, harvesting, and irrigation.
Hay Farming:
Applying and safely handling herbicides and pesticides, irrigating, raking, baling, stacking, and loading.
Ranch Maintenance:
Taking care of farm equipment, ditches, fence, roads and buildings.
Farming data collection and recordkeeping.
Requirements
Experience operating heavy machinery, agriculture equipment preferred:
Tractors
Harvesting Equipment
Land Leveling Equipment
Baler / Forklift / Excavator
Work onsite. Housing provided.
About the Company
We are a family-owned company who values its employees. Located in Northern California, we primarily grow wild rice, timothy, orchard grass, and wheat. Reporting directly to and taking daily direction from the Farm Manager, team members are cross trained in all areas of growing and harvesting, which allows for our small team of skilled workers to easily adapt during peak season. Our season generally runs from March to November with May-October being our busiest months (Jun-Aug over-time is required). Knowledge of tillage and scraper equipment, ag technology, livestock, Spanish and English a plus.
